The Hands-On Work Program at Community Clothing Assistance serves as a dynamic platform offering comprehensive training to participants — particularly youth — equipping them with valuable job skills. CCA creates a flexible training plan that is directly informed by participant's goals, strengths, talents, and learning needs. The training environment is designed to be supportive and relaxed, culminating in participants earning a certificate and a valuable reference—key assets in overcoming employment barriers.
Participants in H.O.W program can gain experience in: customer service, retail, administration, marketing, and fundraising.
The H.O.W. Program is a low stress environment for participants to develop confidence and marketable job skills.
Real-world experience in five core areas that employers value most — all in a safe, supportive environment.
Learn how to greet, assist, and communicate effectively with customers and community members.
Gain hands-on experience in clothing organization, sorting, pricing, and store management.
Develop organizational and administrative skills used in offices and non-profit organizations.
Participate in outreach, social media, and promotional activities to raise community awareness.
Understand how non-profits raise funds and engage donors to sustain vital community programs.
Nestled within the H-O-W and Referral programs, Dress for Success is a specialized initiative designed to extend a helping hand with formal or business attire.
This sub-program focuses on providing individuals in need with the appropriate clothing for interviews and special occasions, enhancing their confidence and professional presence.
